I agree with this quote because for example, on a test you will not necessarily remember who finished first, but you will remember who got the 100% A on it. Also if you are making something at a job, the final product will always be there to see but you won't be able to tell how fast you did the job.
I agree with this comment. I do because I think it's better to take longer and do the job right than finish it quickly and have it done badly. People are more likely to remember that a job was done badly even though it was done quickly. They will forget it took a little longer to finish if it was done right.
I agree with this quote because it doesn't matter if you are the first one finished when doing a job or were able to get it done the fastest. The quality of someone's work is what counts and is what people remember in the long run.
I agree with this quote because it's not always about how quickly you work, it can be about the quality of the work. Something may take years to build or create but it will most likely not be looked upon greatly unless it is done well. If something is created, it will always be there and it won't matter how quickly the job was done when you look back on it.
Boy, have I been burned by this. I often am chosen to complete tasks because I work quickly, only to be criticized for mistakes that I wouldn't have made if I worked slowly. But if I worked slowly, I wouldn't have been chosen for the task in the first place.
I agree with this because the amount of time put into something really does not matter when it comes to the quality of the work. What you have done will always be there to remind people, not the amount of time spent doing it.
This happens a lot at my job. If you do something really fast the customer will be happy about speed but if the finished product isn't made well then the amount of time doesn't matter and the customer is not satisfied.
I agree with this comment. It does not matter how fast someone does a job, but the quality of the work. For example, when taking a test, what is recognized is not the time taken to complete the test, but the grade achieved.
I agree with this quote because even if you are the first to finish a job, you might have not done the job correctly. People should try their best do do the best they can and not worry about the time you do it in. No one will remember the first one to finish if they did bad work, but they will remember the person who preformed the best.
I agree with this quotation because I feel that it is better to do things correctly than to work at a faster pace and end up hurting yourself in the end. You will be remembered for how well you performed a certain task, and if you performed it correctly, not the time it took to get it done. Even though the work was completed in a small amount of time, the job might not be done correctly. In turn, I believe that you should always take your time and do your best.
Agree - while sometimes punctuality is key in doing work, it's virtually useless if the end result is sloppy, rushed, or otherwise poor. Even the slightest adjustment in pace my lead to a much better output. Rushing even one detail could ruin an entire job or piece of work. It's better to take your time and do things right the first time -it may be your only chance to do so.
I agree with this comment. I feel that doing stuff fast isn't always the best way. If work is done fastly it can be sloppy or not done correctly. If someone takes their time the end result will turn out neater. However, sometimes you only have a certain amount of time and you are forced to rush. In any case, I feel that you should perform your job to the best of your ability.
I do agree with this quote because when you are completely done with a project that you worked so hard on, and you stand back and say, "Wow, that looks great!" not, "Wow, I worked so long for this!"
I agree with this. Anyone can complete a job quickly, that doesn't take much effort. If you take your time on a job you will most likely be more satisfied with it then someone who has just taken the quick and easy way out. Your "boss" on the job will be more impressed too if you spend time on it and actually act like you care about it.
